It took only nine months to build the new Zeiss Planetarium in Schwaz, an extraordinary cultural, educational and event center.

The planetarium's main focus is on astronomical education, for both young people and adults, while it also promotes the region's efforts to bring education into accord with leisure and tourism.

In 2006, a major upgrade to fulldome capabilities and the new SKYMASTER ZKP 3/B control extended the range of programs.
